Adelaide Hills Wedding Ceremony

Inglewood Inn is a historic Adelaide Hills wedding ceremony venue, just 30 minutes from Adelaide and only minutes from Tea Tree Gully. Our single, purpose-designed garden lawn sits beneath a canopy of century-old elm trees, surrounded by manicured lawns, flowing gardens, and rolling hills. The Para River winds gently through the property, adding to the sense of calm and connection with nature.

Private, relaxed, and naturally beautiful in every season, it’s the perfect setting to say “I do” with your closest family and friends gathered around. Couples love that it feels like a destination wedding — but without the long drive — with scenery that reflects the very best of the Adelaide Hills.

Where Memories (and Photos) are Made

While there’s one dedicated Adelaide Hills wedding ceremony lawn at Inglewood Inn, the property offers a variety of backdrops for your wedding portraits, each with its own style and character:

Gollop’s Bridge
One of Adelaide’s oldest bridges, hidden from the road and draped in ivy. The arched stonework and leafy surrounds give your photos an almost European feel.

The Elms
These trees have stood for more than a century, offering texture, shade, and atmosphere. From dramatic wide shots to intimate close-ups, the elms look beautiful in every season and from every angle.

Creekside
For couples who don’t mind venturing a little further, the creek offers a secluded canopy with dappled light and the sound of running water — a peaceful and romantic photo spot.

Rolling Lawns and Heritage Brickwork
The manicured lawns and original 1857 brickwork create a mix of rustic charm and open space, perfect for capturing timeless wedding portraits.

And of course, many couples take advantage of the wider Adelaide Hills region, with its historic townships, vineyards, and forested backdrops — all just a short drive away. It means your wedding album can capture incredible variety without ever leaving the area.

Adelaide Hills Wedding Ceremony Venue for All Seasons

One of the reasons couples choose Inglewood Inn for their Adelaide Hills wedding ceremony is the way the gardens and surrounding hills change throughout the year. Every season transforms the setting, giving your wedding a unique backdrop that looks incredible in photos.

November to March
The elm trees are in full green leaf, creating a cool, shaded canopy for summer ceremonies. The lawns are lush, and the dappled light filtering through the branches adds a soft, romantic glow to your photos.

April to May
Autumn brings deep reds, oranges, and golds as the leaves change colour. By late May, the lawns are covered in a rustic carpet of fallen leaves — a photographer’s dream for couples who love warm, earthy tones.

June to August
Winter reveals sweeping views of vibrant green hills. Rain fills the creek, creating a flowing water feature and a peaceful soundtrack for your vows. Bare trees add drama and contrast to your wedding album.

September
Spring signals fresh beginnings. The pear tree bursts into blossom, bluebells appear across the lawns, and new green shoots bring a soft, delicate palette that feels perfectly suited to early spring weddings.

Late October
The first golden leaves of summer return to the elms, the creek slows to a gentle trickle, and the hills start to glow again — marking the start of the warm season.

No two weddings ever look the same here. Your Adelaide Hills wedding ceremony will carry its own unique colours, textures, and atmosphere, shaped by the time of year you choose to marry.

Wet-Weather Plan

Adelaide Hills weather can be unpredictable, but your Adelaide Hills wedding ceremony won’t lose its beauty if the rain arrives. Our enclosed verandah, located beside the Function Room, offers shelter while keeping the sweeping hills views in sight. With clear blinds, power, and space for 20 seated guests plus additional standing room, it’s a stress-free backup that ensures your vows can still go ahead. Most couples end up under the elm trees, but it’s reassuring to know the option is there.

Easy Access for Guests

The Inglewood Inn is designed to make weddings as comfortable as possible for everyone attending. The ceremony lawn is reached via a sloping path — there are no stairs, and for guests who may find the walk difficult we provide golf buggy assistance. Disabled parking and toilet facilities are available onsite, along with plenty of extra guest parking around the property.
