Our newly built Function Room mixes the new with the old, allowing your wedding reception to take in the stunning views without losing its historic charm.
We believe that every wedding should be a unique and personal occasion which is why our venue has been designed so that it can be altered to suit the personal style of each couple, creating a special, unique and unforgettable wedding day. The original stone wall, built in 1857, provides a rustic backdrop to the modern glass extension with panoramic views of the Adelaide Hills, Para River, Elm Trees and gardens. From there the bride is able to put her own touch on the room with different decor. Whether your heart is seat on rustic and vintage, industrial or glam – the room easily adapts to any theme.
For smaller, intimate numbers, round tables can be set up allowing up to 10 guests per table. For larger parties, we recommend long rows of up to 20 guests which creates a social atmosphere and takes the stress out of planning who is going to sit where. The bridal table features in the centre of everyone, allowing a stunning backdrop behind, a generous sized dance floor in the front and an easy and open way to mingle with friends and family.
Our cocktail receptions are designed to feed your guests, as we know you don’t want them to go home hungry. Let your friends and family enjoy delicious canapes, mingle with each other and get the dance floor started early!
We like to believe that we have some of the best local produce in South Australia coming out from our little area. Fringing on the Barossa, we’re spoilt for choice with local wineries such as Paracombe Premium Wines and Totino Wines only a few kilometres away. A short drive on from that results in the quirky and fabulous things coming out of Lobethal such as the craft beers of Beirhaus and Bird in Hand’s sparkling – both available for your special day.
Our Head Chef Brett Murray takes the Adelaide Hills as influence for the flavours in his food, resulting in dishes such as red wine braised lamb shoulder and crispy pork belly for entree. Our chicken dish features figs sourced nearby in Hermitage (when seasonally available) which are also featured in his antipasto keg tops along side Hahndorf meats and cheeses.
